My visit to the Museum of Liverpool was an unforgettable experience, but the Ancient Egypt section was truly the highlight of the day. The atmosphere, lighting, and incredible attention to detail immediately transported me thousands of years back in time. Seeing the real mummies up close was both fascinating and humbling, and the way the exhibits were presented made the history feel alive and meaningful. The design of the gallery is outstanding, creating a sense of mystery and wonder that captures your imagination from the moment you enter. Every display was informative, engaging, and beautifully arranged. I found myself completely absorbed in the stories, artifacts, and history of one of the world’s most remarkable civilizations. Whether you are interested in history or simply looking for an inspiring day out, I highly recommend visiting this museum. The Ancient Egypt exhibition alone is worth the trip and left me amazed long after I had left the building. A truly memorable and world-class experience.

The World Museum is truely a walk through history and science and life itself. It has a great collection that is very diverse, the exhibit never gets old, this was my second time visiting. I will absolutely recommand to take your children to this museum as it is very accessible and educational, there is no entree fee, and it is very disabled-friendly. The mummy room is absolutely but my favorite part will remain the exploration of other cultures at the third floor. Id also like to mention that we went on a thursday and it was really empty we were able to stroll around really how we liked.

On the whole a great place to visit. Really enjoyed the Aquarium and bug house. Like the fact there are options to do additional tours. The displays are pitched at the right level so they are interesting for both kids and adults. A couple of things that meant it was a 4 star rating the upper levels didn’t appear to be cooled so it was uncomfortably hot on the 4 and 5 floors. Also some of the interactive displays were broken.

You could spend the whole day in this vast museum and not have time to see everything there is to see! There are five floors of galleries accessed by way of both stairs and a lift from the spacious atrium. It's free to enter, but donations are welcome. I came here early in the week, spent a full five hours here and didn't get to see all the exhibitions, but what I did see was fascinating and thought-provoking, and at the same time entertaining and interactive enough for children and school parties to enjoy. The artefacts are clearly labelled and imaginatively displayed in their spacious galleries, with interesting background information and audio-visuals. Highlights for me included the beautiful marine life in the aquarium, and learning about the lives and customs of indigenous people from every continent in the World Cultures gallery. But best of all was the Egyptian collection. The wealth of domestic artefacts and sculptures, and the well preserved mummies, along with an excellent timeline and lots of fascinating facts to read, gave me a real sense of what life was like in Egypt three millennia ago. Had lunch in the ground floor café with its comfortable leather chairs and Victorian friezes. The large jacket potato with coronation chicken and salad was well prepared and filling. Quick and friendly service, and good value for money. There's also a gift shop at the entrance, toilets and seating on all floors, and lockers where you can leave your belongings for a small charge. I was really impressed with this museum, and will be back to see the natural history and space exhibits!

Great museum with a wide range of exhibits, all of which were well curated and thoroughly interesting! Came here with family and friends. We’re all adults but this would make for a great day out with the kids too. Entry is free too so can’t go wrong! There were many intriguing facts and supplementary contextual information dotted around with interactive elements to exhibits which made the experience more engaging. Also, there’s a refreshingly open tone in messaging around acknowledgement of colonialism which I appreciated.
