Beautiful, peaceful place, perfect for families and the elderly. Plenty of shade to escape the sun if it is too hot. Not a busy beach, with plenty of accommodation for everyone. If you are looking for peace and quiet by the seaside, this is your heaven.

The main part of the beach consists of pebbles and shingle; however, at low tide, vast stretches of flat, firm sand are revealed, which is ideal for walking or for children to play. ​The focal point is the historic Victorian pier, dating back to 1862. It is a wonderful place for a stroll, offering panoramic views of the town and the English Channel. ​A long, wide promenade lined with palm trees stretches along the beach. It is perfect for cyclists, runners, and people walking with strollers. ​Located by the beach is the Lido (a former swimming pool, now an entertainment center with cafes and arcades) as well as the modern Splash Point water feature. ​Worthing is generally quieter and less of a 'party' destination than neighboring Brighton. It is more of a place for a relaxing day by the sea, popular with families and those seeking peace and quiet. ​The water is clean, but due to the stones on the seabed, it is worth wearing water shoes when entering the sea.

It’s been 30 years since I last visited Worthing beach, have to say it’s 30 times better than 30 years ago. I remember it struggling and quite run down, bit it’s now fairly vibrant and looking really clean and definitely a beach worth visiting definitely an upgrade on Bognor and a lot cleaner than Brighton. Also plenty to do as you have the pier and all the Victorian architecture that’s goes with this period definitely a thumbs up. Parking fairly cheap as well, either £7 for 5 hrs or £13 for the day

It's the sea and its air let's you know. The old buildings were beautiful to take in and admire. However they do need some loving and up keep. It's was delightful to see so many fisherman on the peer enjoying the sun while fishing.

Beautiful, I can see that during the day it can be very busy. However, I am basing this review on the fact that we arrived at the beach at 9pm, and for that reason it was gorgeous. At that time of night, it was nice and peaceful, and being that it's summer it was still light. The view was lovely! It is a stone beach like Brighton, but it's not as bad, and a car park near the seafront is free after 6pm. I would highly recommend visiting if your not far, and visit late evening.
