Wonderful place for a walk. Very well-maintained. Clearly marked paths. You can see some sheep up close too. Peaceful, quiet, serene. You can drive here and then start the walk, or else walk here from Wolvercote. Not many options of public transport to Wytham Woods. There aren't any stores, pubs or restaurants nearby. So, it's a good idea to bring with you what you may need.

Great place to get away from the noise of the city. The canopy of trees provided a much needed cool shade and relief from the summer sun.

The woods that needs a permit. One of Oxfordshire SSSI, the woods, which you need to visit if you’re ever in Oxford, and if you ever want a good hike, remember to apply for your permit beforehand, it is a very special and quiet area of Oxford. Where are you can escape from the city and enter woods where are you can see many more lives and their environment, there is a really good circuit walk you can do around the woods as well, I enjoy bringing my friend is here, as it is a unique place that many haven’t had a chance to visit. We are very lucky to have these woodd.

Beautiful woods after getting the permit! Lovely woods and nice areas to walk but not enough information about maps to make sure we do not get lost. Google map is not enough so having some more extensive map such as maps me is really helpful. There is no access to toilet and food facilities so make sure you bring good amount of water and having a good walking wear is a must. Their YouTube channel on wytham woods is a great way to know the research ongoing.
