It wasn't awful but also wasn't great. For babies and toddlers the area was pretty pitiful, a range of plastic toys for babies that were just being thrown around by older children and a small climb area leading to a slide for toddlers. The bigger area is only really suitable for children that are able to go off alone as some of it rather small for a little more than average adult. There are better soft play areas I'd rather take my child to such as grasshoppers. Otherwise seemed reasonably clean and well maintained.
Been going up here with our grandson regular for almost two years, the staff are amazing,Kayleigh in the kitchen is great,we can recommend the Spicy chicken burger and fries or the beefburger, every time the food has been delicious warm and salads all fresh.Donna taking the orders at the till amongst other things as you see her appear everywhere... is a star, such a lovely friendly and yet professional lady, the owners always say hello and the front desk staff are so lovely too. Great to see the toys being cleaned and ready for the next session, only trouble is some parents/guardians let the children take the toys into the climbing areas and on the slides with no consideration how dangerous it can be if a child is running through the area and falls on them, sadly a lot of adults with kids here are too busy on their phones instead of supervising their children....not good is it...staff are not there to supervise children,it's all in the terms and conditions when booking. In general the staff are very approachable should there be a problem and that's one of the main reasons with the exception our grandson enjoys his visits so thankyou to you all for your hard work,it is very much appreciated.
Took our toddler to the later session and ended up having to parent other people's kids. Loads of 'parents' just let their children loose while they sat at their table on their phones. Certain SEN children need supervision. 1 child was grabbing babies by their necks. My husband was dived on feet first by a 5yo in the baby area who then proceeded to pick up a baby and fall over another. Our son was grabbed round the neck. The staff was lovely and the place was clean, we choose to eat elsewhere in a restaurant but the food looked nice and reasonable. 1 staff member did instruct older children to get out the baby area just as we were leaving. Unfortunately our visit was cut short due to these abandoned children. Most of the older children stayed in the bigger section. On quieter session it may have been more enjoyable for the younger children
We recently visited Explore in Xscape with our baby for one of the baby groups and we really enjoyed that part of the experience. The session was well run, welcoming and a great way to get out with little ones. It felt relaxed and suitable for babies, which we appreciated. You also get free time in the soft play afterwards, which is a nice bonus. However, it wasn’t very well governed and there were bits and bats everywhere, so it didn’t feel as tidy or organised as it could be. We decided to try the food while we were there and unfortunately that let the experience down. The cheesy chips were honestly the worst I’ve ever had very disappointing. The kids’ meal was also quite subpar; the fish finger was almost rubbery and pretty inedible for a baby. Overall, the baby group itself was great, but the food and soft play cleanliness bring it down to an average 3 stars.
I really enjoyed the 4D Golf, i thought the golf holes were pretty easy but it is for kids so it’s going to be🤣 the service was friendly and at £8 per person for 15 holes(split over 2 courses) i thought it was fair priced.
