Very much enjoyed seeing the Halifax and the Dakota. Has to be the highlight for me. In a way too much written material information I couldn’t take it all in, would literally take all day. Would benefit from more exhibits or interactive attractions. Take lead from the Royal Navy Museums: Naval Aviation which is simply superb. That said still a good way to spend a couple of hours if you’re interested in aviation.

Had a fantastic visit last week to look around the museum then get the Halifax Tour. Barry was amazing giving us an extremely detailed tour of the plane inside and out. His knowledge of the Halifax Bomber, its development and role in the war and the restoration of the Friday the 13th plane they have restored was brilliant. My Great Uncle Flt Sgt George Gunningham flew with 78 Squadron down the road at Breighton and died with 3 of his crew in December 1943 on a mission to Leipzig. To see the Halifax, touch it and walk around inside and out whilst learning about every aspect was amazing and very poignant. The whole museum is brilliant woth.lots of amazing planes and interesting exhibits. The NAAFI serves a great cooked breakfast too and the whole team there are dedicated and friendly. This museum is a small gem loads of history packed into a small area and all easily accessible. The T2 hanger is awesome with the Halifax taking pride of place at the front, but while you are in this area you can see much more examples been Jaguar and a Harrier plus various cockpits to climb in and explore. Don't forget to pop outside and see the progress on the Shackleton which is been restored. There are also some indoor exhibitions to look at again don't miss this area.

Booked a trip down here with my parents and lucky for us it was a 40's weekend. Had a good time wandering around the stalls and military aircrafts and vehicles. Large cafe with indoor and outdoor seating selling drinks, snacks and meals. Sat inside a hanger and sang along to a lady singing war time songs which my parents loved. All in all had a really good day.

Had a brilliant time here. Plenty of free parking. All exhibits were open and there's many knowledgeable volunteers around to answer questions, provide anecdotes and give lots of information. Particular appreciation to Tam who spent time with us telling the history of the Nimrod and its function during WWII. He was brilliant, so passionate and so interesting. We ate lunch in the NAAFI café which was delicious. Lots of tables and it was very clean. A really enjoyable place to visit
