Visit websiteAbsolutely horrendous! AVOID! I have no idea how or why this play centre is still open, first off bad attitude from staff on arrival very unwelcoming. The place itself is bitterly cold with everyone still having coats on using their cups of tea to keep their hands warm. Asked to order food and was told ‘no chips run out’, I was hungry so ordered the adult chicken nuggets and chips with a substitute of Potato waffles and was given no side that it states it comes with. Asked staff why I wasn’t given a side and was told you need to make it clear what you want, even though I was sidetracked about having to pay 20p for a non branded tomato ketchup that I wanted with my 5 nuggets and two waffles as priced at £6.95, you would expect them to ask and what side?. They stopped serving food at 2:15 on Wednesday half term I’m assuming because they ran out of chips and majority of meals came with chips, this did not stop the staff from allowing people in not making them aware food wasn’t on offer until after they had paid. The place itself was absolutely stinking with food mushed into the carpet and left over food and dirty dishes all over the tables, having to move the plates to the other table to clear one for me to sit at. Only one out of two toilets in use with no toilet paper available, absolutely shocking. Over priced , bad attitude from staff, freezing and grubby.
Decent but very cold. Adults cannot go in the play areas which we didn't know otherwise we wouldn't have come. It was fairly dark too. Kitchen was closed when we arrived so can't comment on the food. Coffees are ok. Ok to go when Mambos is full. Just wrap up warm.
This was our first visit to this soft play and sadly we won’t be returning. It was a cold day, but the lack of adequate heating meant the warehouse itself was very cold. My 12-month-old, Skyla, had to wear two jumpers, and as parents we were in woolly hats and still cold, which really isn’t ideal for little ones who aren’t constantly moving. Staff initially weren’t particularly friendly, with a couple of encounters feeling quite rude. To their credit, they did make more of an effort later on and became much friendlier, but the first impression wasn’t great. The biggest negative for us was the strict no adults allowed in any soft play areas at all. There is zero flexibility, even for very young children. If a parent steps in even slightly to support a child, you are told to leave due to insurance rules, which staff were actively monitoring. This made much of the toddler area unusable — even the slide required a child to climb a full ramp, zigzag, and obstacles completely unaided, which just isn’t realistic for a one-year-old. I’ve never visited a soft play before where adults aren’t allowed to support their children at all. Facilities were also quite run down. The toilet was out of order, the baby changing area was dirty, and the soap dispenser was broken. In a place that naturally spreads a lot of germs, having working soap feels like a basic necessity. Overall, it just didn’t feel welcoming or suitable for younger toddlers, which is a shame.
I went today with my 2 kids. Nice play centre with good use of the small size. Staff are friendly. The only negative is that it’s absolutely freezing 🥶 in there. The kids are staying warm by running around but at least put some kind of heating on for a few minutes. I was warmer when I stepped outside !!
Don’t bother if your kid/s are 4 or under. Unlike every other soft play in Cardiff, this one doesn’t allow parents onto the frame. The toddler section is okay at best. The only entrances to the main frame are large platforms which younger children need help with. Such a shame as had my 2 year old been able to assess it, the main frame itself looked pretty good. Fair enough if it’s new legislation but I was only informed after paying entrance that I couldn’t go on, and there was nothing obvious on the website. I wouldn’t have bothered had I known. Disclaimers on the tables saying to ask a staff member if your child needs help are laughable to be honest - parents are supposed to let their kid struggle while they find the one staff member on duty to assist them? Have a day off. It was also absolutely freezing in there! Ended up leaving to go to another soft play.
