About this event
The Bunker Night Walks are part of the programme at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest. “A rare chance for a night-time re-creation of the Decoy bunker situated within Moors Valley, which was a WW2 bombing decoy” — a short guided walk in the dark to a place that is normally shut.
What to expect:
- “Wednesday 14 October 2026 and Wednesday 24 March 2027”, with walks at “6.30pm, 6.45pm & 7pm”
- “Suitable for adults and children aged 8 and over.”
- Volunteers explain how the decoy mimicked the airfields at Hurn and Ibsley
- “please bring a torch” - the path is not lit and the bunker is a dark enclosed space
- Starts at Potterne Park car park, BH21 6RS, with limited free parking; meet at the metal gate between the skate park and the football pitch
- “Hot drinks will be provided at the end of the walk.”
