Cannons! Civil War Artillery Living History Day is part of the programme at the Cromwell Museum in Huntingdon.

Artillery was a key part of any Civil War army, to help command the battlefield and, most importantly, breach fortifications to end a siege.

What to expect:

• Saturday 16 January 2027, 10am to 3:30pm
• See a real cannon and find out how it was loaded and fired
• Try your hand at loading the museum's mock siege gun
• Plus, try besieging a town in the museum's new tabletop war game, based on a real 17th century siege
