About this event
Christmas at the Dreamery is part of the programme at Dreamery Gardens, England's lost fairy garden and fairy museum near York.
Meet Father Christmas (St Nicholas) and hear his stories, and meet silent Lady Winter in their Yuletide grottos. This St Nicholas is the Father Christmas of the past - the Holly King, clothed all in green. "Please be aware, if you are looking for a red Santa Claus this isn’t it!"
What to expect:
- 5, 6, 12, 13 and 17 to 23 December 2026; sessions at 1pm, 2.30pm, 4pm and 5.30pm (4.30pm and 6pm on 17 and 18 Dec)
- Make a wish with Lady Winter, then a short story with St Nicholas, aimed at the whole family
- Lasts about 1 hour 10 minutes, plus the winter gardens trail and fairy museum
- Children receive a wishing stone and a chocolate coin rather than a toy
- Gather in the Northwood kitchen courtyard 15 minutes before your start time; dress warmly
- "1 and 2 year olds free." Tickets include 10% off in the café
