About this event
Christmas on the Farm is part of the festive programme at Temple Newsam, which runs from 1 to 24 December 2026. The historic farm buildings each get a Christmas tree with a difference, and families follow a trail to solve festive clues along the way.
What to expect:
- Every day from Tue 1 to Thu 24 December 2026, drop in during farm opening hours from 10am
- Christmas trees in the Blacksmith's, Play Barn, Dovecote, 1940s Flat, Joiner's Shop, Saw Mill and Engine Room, "each telling a story about the building and its past"
- "Pick up a trail booklet from the Play Barn and see how many you can find!"
- A Christmouse Village in the Great Barn and "a charming Living Nativity in the Stables"
- Weekly storytelling sessions in the Play Barn, and free self-led Christmas crafts in the Joiner's Shop as a drop-in
- "Trail and self-led crafts are free with general admission. Additional charges apply for bookable tours and workshops"
- Bookable children's table-decoration workshops run alongside
