About this event
Christmas Train of Lights is part of the programme at Dartmouth Steam Railway, departing Queen's Park Station in Paignton.
The multi award-winning Christmas experience and the UK's first ever steam train of lights! Vintage carriages decorated with thousands of lights, inside and out, run from Paignton to Kingswear through an enchanted forest of light displays.
What to expect:
- Selected evenings, 27 November to 30 December 2026; departures at 17:00 and 19:00, plus 21:00 on some dates (times vary by date)
- The show can only be viewed from the train; it begins after Churston and runs through the 450-metre Greenway tunnel
- "The experience lasts for c.80 minutes."
- Arrive 30 minutes before departure; café and toilets at Paignton station
- Santa does not visit on this service; Train of Lights+Santa is booked separately
- Adult (aged 16+) £31.50, Child (aged 3-15) £24.00, Family (2A, 2-3Ch) £105.00
- Fully ticketed with allocated seating, so pre-booking is essential
