Family Trail: The Women who Made Shakespeare

Family Trail is part of the programme at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon. This year's trail puts the spotlight on the female heroes, anti-heroes, witches, fairies, queens and shepherdesses in Shakespeare's plays.

What to expect:

• Runs until 31 December 2026 across Shakespeare's Birthplace, Shakespeare's New Place and Anne Hathaway's Cottage
• Grab a free trail map and look for the picture boards scattered across the three properties and gardens
• Answer questions such as which female character has the most lines
• Illustrations by Emily Sutton from Shakespeare's First Folio: All the Plays, A Children's Edition
• Suitable for children 4+
• No booking required; the trail is included in admission to Shakespeare's family homes
