It's a great place to take the kids or just for a day out. If you buy a ticket to tge Shakespeare house, you also get entry to Ann Hathaways house, which is walking distance from town, its surrounded in a lovely setting and the gardens around the house are amazing, one ticket allows you access to three different locations and its valid for 12 months, so go back as much as you want. It's not only an enjoyable day out but the kids actually learn something, because of the guided tours. I'd definitely recommend a visit to Shakespeares townhouse. I enjoyed it so much, over the last 3 years I've visited once every year. Luckily the weather was always good.

It was ok. Interesting to see and walk through the house, but there is not much in the way of explanations of the history or rooms. Just a single poster board in one of the last rooms of the visit. The guides inside the house are inconsistent about sharing information or explanations. Still worth a visit but they could definitely improve the visitor experience.

An absolutely amazing experience! The architecture is beautifully preserved, making you feel like you've stepped back in time the moment you arrive. Visiting Shakespeare's Birthplace is a must—it's incredible to see where so much history began. We took the open bus tour, which was a fantastic way to take in the town, and enjoyed a beautifully relaxing river cruise. If you get the chance, definitely do the Tudor ghost walk; it added such a fun, spooky touch to the historical atmosphere! Beyond the tours, the town center is perfect for a leisurely stroll, and the scenic walk down by the river is the perfect way to cap off the day. Highly recommend visiting!

Visited Shakespeare’s Birthplace as part of a group tour and it was a very meaningful and educational experience. The house is well-preserved, giving visitors a glimpse into the early life of William Shakespeare and the environment where he grew up. The interiors are carefully maintained, with informative displays that explain the history of the house and Shakespeare’s life. The staff and guides are knowledgeable and add value to the visit by sharing interesting stories and insights. What stood out the most is the authenticity of the place—it truly feels like stepping back in time. The surrounding garden area is also beautiful and provides a relaxing space after exploring the house. Highly recommended for literature lovers, history enthusiasts, and group travelers visiting Stratford-upon-Avon.

My visit was just wonderful today! The welcome from the staff and the friendliness of the staff throughout was lovely, thank you! Having not visited for many years it felt like I'd never visited which was great. The exhibition was very good and informative. There were young children from a school being 'guides' in some of the rooms and read out information which was a nice touch. I didn't spend as long as I anticipated her but very much enjoyed my visit, and hope to visit again in the next 12 months. Thank you
