About this event
Glad Tidings is part of Christmas at BCLM, the festive season at Black Country Living Museum running 28 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. On seven December evenings the historic town opens after dark for a cosy, lamplit visit rather than a daytime one.
What to expect:
- Seven evenings: 11, 12, 18, 19, 21, 22 and 23 December 2026, 6.30pm to 10pm
- "Gather around our open fires, sing along with traditional carollers and seasonal favourites, and enjoy traditional Christmas treats to get into the festive mood."
- The museum's historic streets, shops and houses lit for the evening
- Period food and drink outlets open across the site
- "Adult – £20.95", "Young Person (3-15 Years) - £16.95", "Essential carer – £10.45", "Under 3s - FREE"
- Largely outdoors on cobbled streets, so wrap up warm and wear sturdy shoes
