Illustration on Fabric Workshop is part of the programme at Colchester Castle.

Join arts practitioner Clare Sams for a creative drop-in workshop inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry, creating your own Norman-inspired design directly onto fabric to take home.

What to expect:

• Saturday 7 November 2026, any time between 10.30am and 12.30pm
• Drawing and illustration rather than sewing or embroidery
• Norman-themed colouring sheets for younger children
• Drop in at any point and stay as long as you like
• "This event is included as part of Castle admission."
