Little STEAMers: Sounds of the Sea is part of the programme at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. What can you hear by the sea? Explore the science of sound through music, movement and playful investigations as young children discover how vibrations create the sounds we hear.
What to expect:
- Thursday 11 February 2027, two sessions: 10.45am to 11.45am and 12.30pm to 1.30pm
- "This session is designed for children aged 3–5 and must be accompanied by an adult."
- Play instruments and make a seaside soundscape together
- Each session starts with a mystery bag, a warm-up, a story and a song
- Held on the mezzanine of the Royal Marines Experience
