So much to see. We managed to spend 3 full days here so an annual ticket is a great idea. Being able to walk around HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, M33 and see the wreck of the Mary Rose makes it so much more than just a museum. The submarine Alliance and the museum are reached by a boat and worth a visit as is the Explosion part of the site. Great facilities for visitors. Cafés, toilets and places to catch your breath.

No need to buy tickets ahead as you still need to stand in same queue to get tickets validated . Lots of help for accessibility , not all of it is on the website . Scooters and chairs available and stools in some sections to carry round. Superb value, don't miss Mary Rose 4d film. Staff super friendly and helpful , really stand out. Buggy service for less mobile provided by volunteers and they are also really helpful and friendly (we had John and Arthur both terrific). We did one visit on a Friday, a lot quieter than our second on Saturday . We will need to come again as there are things we did not get to see

What a great experience! So much history. The team of volunteers are very professional and knowledgeable. I've never been on a submarine, but now I can say I have. ☺️We have the Ultimate Explorer ticket, and it's really worth visiting all the other museums and ships. It's amazing how much effort they put it to restore them, and so you can experience it as it was back in the day. It is refreshing to see lots of school groups from all around the world. Highly recommend!

We visited while on holiday. Great value for money, learnt a lot. We are a pasty while in one of the cafes, it was ok, a bit pricey, but a nice meal. This place is huge and we came back a day later to visit more. You can do that on buying your ticket - you get to keep visiting for 12 months so really good value for money. Loved the harbour tour and boat rides out to the submarine exhibition. Sadly harbour tour will be an extra expense at the start of May, but I would say worth it. So much to know and see and the exhibits are simply fantastic. Have good walking shoes and bring a jumper (it gets chilly out on the water) I'd say visit no more than 3 attractions in anyone go. It's a fabulous place. Well done.

I had a fantastic visit to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and would highly recommend it to anyone with even a slight interest in history, naval heritage, or simply a great day out. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how well-organised and welcoming everything felt. The highlight of the visit was stepping aboard the historic ships. Walking through them really brings history to life, you can almost imagine what life was like for the sailors who once served on them. There’s also a great variety of attractions all in one place, from museums to harbour tours, so it never feels repetitive. The facilities are excellent too, with clean amenities and a good selection of cafés to relax in between exploring.
