About this event
Celebrate the new year with a visit to the Museum, and a ride on a train hauled by a real life steam engine. The East Anglian Railway Museum at Chappel and Wakes Colne Station opens its site for the day with one of its heritage trains in steam.
What to expect:
- Friday 1 January 2027, museum open 10:00 to 16:00
- Unlimited rides from 11:00 to 15:00, no fixed timetable
- Miniature Railway planned, weather permitting
- Restoration Shed, Goods Shed, Signal Box and a train themed children's playground
- Platform Two Cafe on site, or bring a picnic
- Adults: £11.50, Children: (4-15) £8.50, Under 4s: Free
- Prebooking closes at midnight before; tickets then on the door
