About this event
Relaxed Visits to Father Christmas is part of the events programme at the Bolton Abbey Estate near Skipton, North Yorkshire.
Two relaxed visits to Father Christmas’ Village, which in the estate’s own words are "for children with additional needs and their families". The village itself is the same: guided activities under twinkling lights, Christmas traditions from around the world, and Father Christmas in his cabin.
What to expect:
- Sunday 29 November and Monday 21 December 2026
- Guided fire lighting, storytelling and crafting, plus self-led marshmallow toasting and reindeer hoopla
- Families move around the village freely, at a pace that suits them
- Meet Father Christmas in his cabin and receive a bespoke Bolton Abbey decoration to keep
- "The event is not suitable for children under the age of 3"
- Each session lasts about 90 minutes
- Outdoors with some shelter - wrap up warm and wear sturdy shoes
- Child tickets "29 November - £25.00; 21 December - £35.00"; "Adult - £12.50"
