About this event
SEN Santa Safari is part of the Christmas programme at Fenn Bell Zoo. Dedicated relaxed sessions of the zoo's festive Santa Safari, “created to offer a more inclusive, relaxed and enjoyable Christmas experience for SEN children and their families”.
What to expect:
- Two dates: Saturday 5 December 2026, 10am-12pm, and Saturday 12 December 2026, 3.40pm-6pm
- “quieter music and our elves will take a calmer approach, with no over-stimulating acting”
- A festive trail through the zoo and a sleigh ride, ending at Santa's grotto
- If the ride is too much, tell an elf and they will “escort you and your family directly to Santa’s Grotto instead”
- “Presents are available for all with a ‘child’s ticket’” — give each child's name, age and gender when booking
- “We kindly ask that these dedicated sessions are only booked by families attending with SEN children, their siblings and parents/guardians”
- Group rates for schools and clubs on request by email
