About this event
Steam Illuminations is part of the programme at The Watercress Line, the heritage railway at Alresford. "Step aboard a steam train transformed into a dazzling spectacle of colour, music and festive cheer!" Thousands of synchronised LED lights inside and out, live entertainers and singalongs hosted by 'Voiceover Man'.
What to expect:
- Selected evenings, 27 November 2026 to 2 January 2027; departures from Alresford or Alton between 16:10 and 19:05
- Christmas Vibes until 28 December; Party Anthems from 29 December
- Each ticket includes an LED wristband to keep
- Christmas Village at Alresford Station with Talking and Singing Trees and marshmallow toasting
- Lasts about 1 hour 45 minutes; allow 2 hours
- "PLEASE NOTE: Father Christmas will NOT be appearing during Steam Illuminations."
- Many flashing lights: may be unsuitable for people with epilepsy
- Seating for 1 £37; under 2 years free
