Steam Into Christmas at Didcot Railway Centre

Steam Into Christmas is part of the programme at Didcot Railway Centre in Oxfordshire. The centre sets it up like this: "Oh no! There’s been a Christmas disaster — Santa’s reindeer have escaped, and he needs your help to find them before Christmas Eve!"

What to expect:

• Eight dates: 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 22 and 23 December 2026
• "Gates open at 9.30am and you will need to book a specific arrival time"
• "You should allow around 2 to 3 hours" - the centre closes at 4.00pm
• Find the reindeer stations hidden around the site, collecting a small gift at each
• "Every child will receive a special passport and a Christmas stocking"
• It ends at Santa's toy workshop, where children choose their own present
• "Your ticket also includes unlimited train rides" on the main demonstration line
• Festive refreshments in the cafe; footplates to climb in the 1932 Engine Shed
• Child tickets cover ages 2 to 15 on this event; carers are charged
