Start the year with a winter wildlife adventure on our Bird ID Treasure Hunt. Explore the park as you search for hidden clues and discover the fascinating world of native birds. Learn how to identify different species, uncover fun facts about their habits and habitats, and find out how they survive the colder months. Inspired by the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch, this family-friendly trail encourages visitors to spot, count and connect with the birdlife all around them.
What to expect:
- Runs every day from 1 to 31 January 2027, during park opening times
- No booking is required, simply look for the purple flag at each park and join in
- Car parking charges apply at each forest park
- Events are weather dependent and may be subject to change
- Wear suitable footwear and clothing for outdoor conditions
