The Jolly Postman

The Jolly Postman is part of the programme at The Postal Museum in London. Step into the story in an interactive exhibition celebrating 40 years of the much-loved children’s book by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. Meet the Jolly Postman – off on his rounds with letters for some very familiar faces, from Goldilocks to the Big Bad Wolf.

What to expect:

• Open until January 2027; the museum is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 - 17:00
• Follow the Jolly Postman’s delivery round from home to home, spotting fairytale friends along the way
• Wander through the woods to the Three Bears’ cottage, deliver ‘royal mail’ to Cinderella at the palace, or dare to peek inside the Wicked Witch’s gingerbread bungalow
• A treasure trove of original artwork, much of it on display for the very first time
• Included in museum ticket, which also covers a Mail Rail ride and the other exhibitions
• Last Mail Rail ride at 16:00
