About this event
THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride is part of the events programme at Spa Valley Railway in Royal Tunbridge Wells.
"All aboard for an unforgettable Christmas journey!" Your journey begins at Tunbridge Wells West Station, with a live retelling of The Polar Express™ story aboard the moving train.
What to expect:
- 32 dates from 6 November to 30 December 2026, mostly Thursdays to Sundays, plus 21-24 and 28-30 December
- Several departures a day, usually 10:40, 12:25, 2:30, 4:15 and 5:55pm (6 and 7 November and 24 December differ)
- The Conductor, dancing chefs, the ghostly hobo and Santa, who gives each child a silver sleigh bell
- Hot chocolate and a cookie on board; "Adults and Children have the same ticket."
- "Infants under two travel for less."
- Wear pyjamas, plus a warm coat and sturdy shoes; no slippers
- Arrive 30-45 minutes early; no parking at the station
- Tickets are sold online only
