Went on the cheese trip. An absolute must for cheese lovers. Excellent value beautiful steam train and the best English cheeses served at the perfect temperature and in really sumptuous surroundings while chuffing through the Kent country side. Perfect will be going again soon.

Back in 2025, I went to the Spa Valley Railway for the 2025 Day Out with Thomas event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Thomas & Friends franchise. Then this year, I went on another event on the same railway for a second time. Both times I went to the railway were great fun! I highly recommend going to the Spa Valley Railway - be it for a regular visit or to have a Day Out with Thomas.

Lovely and fully accessible the staff were incrediby helpful and the trip was comfortable and its the first steam railway I haven't had to sit in the guards van as a wheelchair user, I was in a carriage sat at a table

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Literally from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we where all im complete amazement. Couldn't be happier with the staff the train and the journey Absolutely incredible well done . Polar express you were simply wonderful.

I recently enjoyed the Gin & Steam experience and it was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The price include three artisan gins, a mixer and a slice of cake, all of which are served in one of the train's lovingly restored dining cars. Of course the best bit is that it all takes place aboard a restored steam train and what boy (no matter how old) doesn't enjoy that? You also get enough time to get off and explore the heritage stations along the route, which is an added bonus. I'm now looking forward to trying the Whiskey and steam experience and the cheese tasting train.
