War Wheels is Foxfield Railway's two-day steam-and-military weekend at Caverswall Road station near Blythe Bridge in Staffordshire, where the line's locomotives share the site with military vehicles and living-history dioramas.
What to expect:
- Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May 2027, 9am to 8pm each day
- “Military vehicles from all ages”, steam train rides and a miniature railway
- “Live weaponary firing demonstrations” and living history dioramas
- Period entertainment with 'The Mel Baines Trio' during the day on Saturday and Sunday, and 'Ignition' followed by 'Rock N Roll' on the Saturday night
- “Military & vintage stores” to browse
- “Museum access for free”, with the station buffet and a bar open
- A two-day site-entry bundle is sold for adults and for children: “Train travel isn’t included in this bundle, but your tickets can be upgraded on the day.”
