Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable price for a day. Bar food tasty and good range of beers in the bar. Would recommend.

This is an absolute first class treasure of an attraction in Staffordshire. The railway trips run between Blythe Bridge (Caverswall Road) and Dilthorne Park and the trains run at three times during the day and these times are 11:00hrs, 12:30hrs and 14:00hrs and the train ride lasts approx just over 30 minutes and is a very pleasant and relaxing journey where you can see beautiful rolling countryside and wonderful woodland with bluebells and other wildflowers. On the train there is a buffet where you can purchase, beverages and soft drinks and other snacks which is wonderfully different compared to other railways. There is a lovely short exhibition about the railway detailing its origins as a railway for Foxfield Colliery and also there is some trains you can see which are brilliant on the eye such as Henry Cort and Moss Bay and both have some fascinating information about them and both are in immaculate condition. There is some great artefacts to see such as Colliery Uniform and Nameplates and you can see the train driver area of Henry Cort giving you a clear idea of how he controls and drives the train. There is a cafe selling refreshments at reasonable prices and there is a shop selling a lovely range of souvenirs at reasonable prices. Overall this is a true gem and fabulous place to visit and makes for a truly wonderful memorable day out. Definitely well worth a visit whilst in the Cheadle area of Staffordshire.

Visited on 13th August 2025 for the first time since I was a child, so was nice to return. Was nice to see the owls on display, as well as the locomotives etc in the museum. Was a lovely train ride up to Dilhorne and back as well. Certainly brought back memories for me. Will definitely be back. Check out my Youtube series on my channel - @karlsmith25.

Great little railway with a station pub, a gift shop and static display of locomotives showcasing the history of the railway and local area, also a good range of rolling stock. Really enjoyed the ride up the line with a mixage of diesel and steam trains running. Really would recommend visiting when there’s an event on such as May and the Wheels of War weekend, What a great day out!

Went here for the North Pole express. We had a great time. The staff were all really friendly. A great experience for us and the kids. A small bag of treats on the train including port and mince pies for us and juice and cookies for the kids made the journey even better. The kids loved their gifts from Santa too; a well thought out gift for our kids ages. The elves on board made it fun, having a sing along and even a bit of magic which was great. All in all a really great experience and highly recommend it. We also had a drink in the bar after, mulled wine and a great selection of beers finished off with some tasty hot meat baps and pigs in blankets.
