About this event
Join us for an afternoon steeped in Somerset tradition: a family-friendly orchard celebration with song, music, theatre and a dash of Somerset mischief, blessing the apple trees in the museum's historic walled orchard.
What to expect:
- Sunday 17 January 2027, 2pm to 4pm
- Prizes for the best wassail-themed crown, with adult and children categories
- Drop-in crown making session in the education room before the wassail starts
- Morris dancers, with a chance to join in a dance, and a storytelling marquee
- Outdoor event whatever the weather: wrap up warm and wear good footwear, the orchard has an uneven grass surface
- This is a free event for Shoemakers Museum ticket holders
