Yule at Avalon Archaeology

Yule is part of the Wheel of the Year celebrations at Avalon Archaeology, South West Heritage Trust’s reconstructed Iron Age, Roman, Saxon and Viking buildings in the Avalon Marshes. “Mark the turning of the year with greenery, firelight, and festive cheer.”

What to expect:

• Sunday 20 December 2026, 10am to 4pm, in the Anglo Saxon hall
• “We’ll be decking the Saxon hall in greenery and welcoming in the new year with a roaring fire to burn the Yule Log.”
• “Watch the Yule Log burn in our roaring hearth, sip hot spiced apple juice, and enjoy live performances of songs, poems, and tales from local bards and storytellers.”
• “We will open the stage throughout the day to all!” — perform and “Earn yourself free entry, a hot spiced apple juice and eternal glory in the chronicles of Avalon Archaeology.”
• “Normal entry applies: Adult: £5.50 Child (under 5): FREE Child (aged 5-17) £4”
