Had a wonderful experience at this swimming pool. The water was clean and well-maintained, and the entire facility was tidy and organized. The staff were friendly, attentive, and ensured a safe environment for everyone. The pool is spacious, making it perfect for both relaxation and exercise. A great place to spend time with family and friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant and enjoyable swimming experience

The indoor pool is disgusting, dirty and they over-packed it during the lane swimming session, so its impossible to swim more than a few strokes without hitting into someone. Changing rooms are also dirty. They should keep the outside pool running as I imagine this would be bigger and better.

changing rooms are disgusting, toilet facilities are disgusting to. spent the 2.4 million investment in the wrong places. if the price of stuff increases you get no notice at all. as for closing the outdoor just before the summer how disappointing.

My review is mainly aimed at the gym. I’d avoid it if you are even remotely serious about body building or the like. Stacked with cardio machines which I’ve never seen more than half used at once, with a very basic and limited set of weight machines/free weights. Often have to wait for machines as there’s one thing for each body part generally (unless you want to do pull-ups, then you’re fine). The fact that some staff (who I assume get free access?) actually pay to go to the gym I swapped to says it all. However, if you do want to just do cardio and insist on wasting money (there’s plenty of hills and pavement - we do live in a beautiful area!) then they have to covered for rowing machines, step machines, excess treadmills. In theory there is a decent stretch for sled pulls but this invariably involves having to turf people off that area as it’s used for stretching and gentler floor exercises. In over a year I never had the chance to use it. It is, however, air conditioned and has a nice view.

Extortionate! Everything’s always closed for cleaning and maintenance every 5 minutes yet the change rooms and sauna always stink. With ample space in the gym there’s always a vital section, used by many for stretching and workouts, closed off for classes.. the machines are constantly broken. Why is it so expensive. The only change that’s been made since the takeover of the council is the colour of the walls and cafe. Oh and the sauna which the public had to organise to get sorted and repaired. The gym section seems neglected while all the attention and funding goes toward the cafe and kids park. Deep cleaning of a gym should be an everyday thing. Not a “let it get dirty to a point it needs to be closed for cleaning and maintenance” . Prevention is better than cure. Do better !
