Visited Ainsdale Beach for the first time and overall it was a really nice experience. The beach itself was clean, spacious and great for families, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the day. The atmosphere was lovely and it’s definitely a place I’d visit again. Unfortunately, the experience was spoiled towards the end. A group packed up their things and walked away leaving all their rubbish behind on the sand. I went over and politely asked them to pick it up. They claimed they were “going to,” but they had already taken everything else and were around 10 metres away from the rubbish bags when I stopped them, so it honestly didn’t look convincing. Most of the group seemed reasonable about it, but one person became aggressive, started swearing, calling names and trying to start a physical fight, creating unnecessary drama and attention in front of everyone. I explained that I was standing nearby with my kids and didn’t want rubbish left around for children to walk near or for it to still be there the next day. I also told them I was taking photos of the rubbish and would report it if they left it there. In the end, they did come back, pick the rubbish up and leave, but even while walking away they were still shouting insults, cursing and trying to provoke more confrontation. I just hope they disposed of the rubbish properly instead of dumping it somewhere else nearby. The beach itself deserves a high rating — beautiful place and very enjoyable — but it’s disappointing that some visitors have no respect for keeping it clean and peaceful for everyone else, especially families with children.

Love coming here, beautiful beach and amazing place,( changing space) clean working equipment,ie hoist 🛗 folding changing bed . Now I know my daughter can be changed and she can enjoy the beach, just like everyone else.

Great drive on beach, clean with bins available. Dog friendly and lots of sand to explore. Life guards on site and very helpful and friendly. Regular ice cream van visits too.

Ainsdale Beach in Liverpool is a fantastic spot deserving 5 stars. It features clean, wide sandy shores and beautiful dunes, perfect for relaxing or family days out. We experienced that the beach was safe with lifeguards, were seen all around that place, clean facilities, and easy parking. Comparing to Formby, much better to have Car just next to you and also there was Bathroom facility at Parking enterence, though very expensive Parking fee (10£) We were there around 11ish in the morning. Wasn't much crowded and beach was clean and water was down. People had kites there and I would say with 15 to 16 degrees sunny day, it was perfect weather to be there since it wasn't much crowded and there was plenty of clean and shinning sand to play around. Kids really enjoyed it very well.

We're blessed for having this beach on our doorstep. Every day is different thanks to our lazy tides. Beach as far as the eye can see. Ideal for anything you can think of. It's kept clean thanks to Sefton Council and responsible visitors some regular and some not. There are some who collect washed up rubbish as means of meditation and looking after the environment. It is very satisfying to do so. Water quality is often very good. I use safer Seas app to keep an eye on. Plenty of parking and plenty to do. I would highly recommend.
