Enjoyed an invigorating walk on New Brighton Beach. At low tide, the wide expanse of sand seemed to stretch for miles. Maybe not the most picturesque outlook towards the cranes of the container port, but there were certainly a lot of interesting things to see, from the Napoleonic era fort and the lighthouse to spotting the well-known landmarks of Liverpool's iconic skyline in the distance, and watching cargo vessels and ferries come and go along the River Mersey. The soft clean sand is ideal for families and dog walkers, but if you're planning to go for a paddle or a swim, it's vital to check the tide times because the tide here advances very quickly and you can easily get cut off. There's free parking, toilets inside the Floral Pavilion, a funfair and amusements for the kids, cafes galore, a shopping centre and a Morrisons supermarket, all within a short walk from the beach.

New Brighton Beach is a pleasant seaside resort in Merseyside, around a 25-minute journey on the Merseyrail from Liverpool city centre. I visited here after a recommendation from a friend. The water was pristine, and the views were really pleasant. It was a nice place to visit to spend some time. Even though I visited on a Saturday in mid-April, it wasn’t overly busy, and while there were still families and people, it still had a relaxing and peaceful vibe, which I liked. There are free public toilets as well as a number of bars and restaurants, including Marino Lounge and Nando’s overlooking the beach, as well as other businesses nearby, such as a Hungry Horse Pub, Starbucks, The Light Cinema and Morrisons. I do feel when the tide is out, it can feel a little desert-like with really dry sand, but that’s just nature, I guess. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the area for sure.

We went during Easter it was bit of a rush. But it was a nice sunny day. Parents out with their kids it’s a nice place to walk around the beach with all the markets and food stalls close by. Sitting on the bench enjoying the breeze with a slice of pizza and a drink was just perfect for us.

You can watch ships coming in and out of Liverpool Port, including ferries and large container ships — great if you enjoy maritime views. 🌍 Surroundings: Well-kept promenade with plenty to see and do. Relaxing atmosphere even on a work trip. 🍔 Eating Places: Good choice of nearby food options, including Burger King and Starbucks, plus other local cafés and takeaways within walking distance. 🚗 Parking: Lots of free parking available, which makes access very easy. 🚢 Things to See: Regular ferry traffic and container ships passing by add interest. 🚻 Facilities: Toilets available at the fort, which is very handy. 🎡 Attractions: Small theme park nearby — ideal for a quick break or if visiting with family. Visited during a work trip and found it a great place to stop and unwind. Plenty of free parking, good food options, interesting views of ships and ferries, and decent facilities. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.

We brought our beautiful, handsome fur baby here for his very first beach trip. We gave shadow his forever home after literally falling head over heels in love when we saw him at our local merseyside dogs trust rescue centre. It was clear to see that he had been treated pretty badly with the previous owners. Awful separation anxiety, minor nervousness just to name a couple of the bloody awful issues our beautiful boy was confronted with. one of the big hurdles, we as a family were faced with was shadows dreaded fear of water ( shadow is an alaskan malamute 🐶🐶) double coated ( enough dog hairs to open my own cushion filling business.....birds love it ( makes their nests super snug and fluffy) so he needs regular grooming, showers which can sometimes be quite distressing for all involved. Having grown up myself around dogs, we used to love taking them to the beach. Running along the sand, swimming in the sea and of course chasing seagulls. So ever since we adopted Shadow, it has been our families dream to watch him hopefully want to play and swim and chase. WE KNEW WE HAD TO HAVE ALL THE PATIENCE IN THE WORLD AND THAT IT COULD POSSIBLY BE A LONG PROCESS, maybe a few regular visits back and forth until he found the confidence to dip his paw in at least..... WE COULDNT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG!!!!! As soon as we walked down the hill and along the promenade, our beautiful brave boy didn't even hesitate. Off he went. Bounding face first into the waves. Looked like pacman trying to chomp at the waves. 6 hours later....everyone very wet, sand everywhere and extremely emotional 😂😂😍😍😃🐶🐶🐶.....it was officially one of our best days ever. Everything me and my son had dreamed off and it couldn't have gone any better. Planning 2nd visit for week after next 🌊🌊🏖 Thank you to all locals and visitors for making our day out at New Brighton very relaxing and memorable
