A really lovely day out . Huge gardens and plenty of places to walk. Statues and little hidden areas to discover. The house was really lovely too . Beautiful rooms and antiques.

First visit to Anglesey Abbey with it being a little further than I would normally travel in a day. Came following a visit to IWM Duxford and time was limited having around two hours before it closed. Due to this, decided upon not having a rushed tour of the house and just explored the gardens. And what lovely gardens they are with plenty to see and explore. Really impressed and will make a point of returning again in the future when not so pressed for time.

Lovely National Trust property, just outside the village of lode, plenty of disabled parking, wash room facilities and shop as you enter, plus restaurant although rather expensive to eat there, lovely grounds and plenty of walks from the silver birch tree walk, rose garden dahlia gardens and has over 1000 snowdrops to view when in season. Walk to the lode mill where on certain days they mill their own flour for you to buy, house is very large, lots of stairs, recommend to ask if alternative stair case as very very steep and winding, not much to holdon to. Not sure whether they have a lift for the less able bodied,coffee at the side of the house plus also wash room facilities also near house in the grounds. Worth visiting early at 9.30am as car park gets very busy even on a normal weekday.

Absolutely stunning day out at Anglesey Abbey! The grounds are beautifully maintained, with breathtaking gardens that change with the seasons — there’s always something new to see. The winter garden is especially magical, and the walking routes are peaceful and perfect for all ages. The house itself is fascinating, full of history and interesting collections that are well presented and easy to explore. The staff and volunteers were welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions, which made the visit even more enjoyable. There’s plenty of space to relax, enjoy a picnic, or grab a drink from the café. Everything is clean, organised, and thoughtfully laid out. A perfect place for a calm, scenic day out — highly recommend visiting!

Beautiful abbey and gardens to wander round. The often do trail hunts, we visited for the snowman trail. Great exercise at a leisurely pace. They have a play area with coffee shop and cakes. Although it seems some of the play equipment is closed off possibly for maintenance. They used to have a huge tree house which sadly isn't there anymore. Walk further past the park and there's a lovely wooded area set aside for den making. Only downside is there's no toilets up here and with a small child desperate for a wee is a long walk back towards the house.
