Well worth a visit and early May should be lovely.

An enjoyable, easily accessible outdoor space. Lots of places to explore, from old castle motts to ponds to walled gardens. Lots of squirrels and ducks to find. The whole family can enjoy it.

Have been going here for nearly ten years and the place never disappoints. The best part about it is the nice and clean path asking the gardens. One can walk around at their place and not worry about sterling into muck and dirt. Plenty of runners and cyclists enjoy the rounds on early mornings. The view of the river from the bridge is lovely and one can easily spend twenty minutes just looking at the view and list in their thoughts. Other facilities include a nice little cafe, electric vehicle charging points, nice and clean toilets. An ideal place for an afternoon picnic.

Lovely place for a walk, whether it's long, short or in-between. Lots of different paths to wander along and little quirky things to see along the way. The bridge across the river takes you to a path leading to the Lough. Back in the courtyard of the gardens there is a small visitors shop and a cafe. The whole place is extremely dog friendly. Large open green which is great for kids to run and play games. There are a few picnic tables and a number of benches throughout the gardens.
