Ballywalter always has some surprises to see. On the one hand is a great view to the sea front and harbour. Then a short walk to the right is a beautiful beach with a play park toilets and old lime kilns being restored.

Ballywalter beach is beautiful in a small city .(22 miles from Belfast) There is sufficient car park along the side of the beach,no parking fees . Children can have fun time in the play park. Tables in the middle of meadow gives the opportunity to have food together with family and friends . The promenade through the side of the beach is energising and rejuvenative. Some people do fishing with fishing boats, but not sure if they sell it there. Your day can be more enjoyable spending time in this lovely place .

One of the best beaches in Northern Ireland. Great for walking or taking the dog. Its very wide and secure, water on one side and fenced on the other, no danger of the dog running off and getting lost.

A great place to walk on your own or with company - canine or human! Reasonable sized car park nearby as well as a kids play park. Clean beach and a good place to blow away the cob webs! Wrap up warm!
