Lovely beach just along from Bamburgh Castle access to which is a walk across the dunes and through the machir grass. Wide beach with clear water, quite reasonable temperatures for May. Very popular. Car parking is £6.00 for around six hours.

The beach is very neatly kept and can hike around the Bamburgh castle or to the top of it from the beach. It’s a sandy beach and it’s a great place to spend your day.

Beautiful beach right below Bamburgh castle. Its great for picnics, walking the dog or just a relaxing time. Plus you're only minutes away from Bamburgh castle and Bamburgh itself, where St Aidens church is situated, the monk who built the first Abbey on Lindisfarne. Which is just up the coast from the Stunning castle of Bamburgh and its stunning beach. Also in Bamburgh village, is where you'll find the burial and museum of Grace Darling.

This is one of my favorite beaches! The view of the castle is amazing, and the sand and water are beautiful. It's also lovely for a walk along the beach with great views.

One of the most stunning stretch of beach there is in England. Miles of pristine sand with the castle as a backdrop. Very safe for bathing as the rise is shallow for quite a distance. The beach is very clean with minimal litter and there are multiple access points from the dunes. It’s big enough to soak up hundreds of visitors and still not feel too crowded. Photos were taken over a week in August and every day the light was different.
