I recently attended a pottery session here, and I have very mixed feelings about the experience. On the positive side, Matthew, who leading the pottery session was absolutely fantastic. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He created a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere, and I really felt like I was learning and enjoying the process thanks to him. Unfortunately, the experience was significantly impacted by his wife’s behaviour. She frequently interrupted the session, which made it difficult to stay focused. At times, she brought other customers into the studio who were not part of the pottery session, which was quite distracting and took away from the immersive experience I was hoping for. Her attitude was also disappointing. When it came time to pay, she appeared visibly irritated and unapproachable, which made an otherwise enjoyable session end on an uncomfortable note. Throughout my visit, she came across as unprofessional and, at times, quite rude—particularly when she would stand nearby and stare, which felt awkward and unnecessary. It’s a real shame, as the quality of teaching was excellent, but the overall atmosphere was negatively affected. With a more welcoming and considerate approach to customers, this could be a truly great experience.

Absolutely lovely little studio! I visited with a friend after booking online, and we had such a great experience. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and there was a fantastic selection of pottery to paint. Can’t wait to go back and pick up my finished piece!

This pottery painting studio is such a fantastic place to spend a few hours. You can choose from a wide selection of ceramics, all individually priced, and then enjoy painting your own designs at your own pace. It’s a really creative and relaxing experience, suitable for all ages. The atmosphere is lovely, welcoming, calm, and friendly, which makes it even more enjoyable. The service is excellent too; the lady running it is so helpful and takes the time to explain everything clearly, from how the paints work to what happens when your piece is glazed and fired. One important tip is that booking is essential, as it’s very popular and spaces fill up quickly. But once you’re there, it’s easy to see why, it’s such a unique and memorable activity. Perfect for families, friends, or even a solo creative day.

This place is soo cute! It’s such a quaint little place, and the services are excellent! I met Amanda, who was lovely and gave us some good tips for pottery painting, which allowed us to paint really nicely! The pricing was also very good, especially for the range of colours and tools provided for us to decorate our plates, and the wide variety of ceramics to choose from to paint. I hope to visit again soon!!

Brilliant place to have a children's party. The owners were fantastic. Friendly, accomodating and really helpful. There was a great selection of blanks for the children to choose and with expert advice they were able to produce brilliant results. They also had a go on the potters wheel and even the mess averse children wanted to have a go. Plenty of parking, there is a lovely tea room right there. Highly recommended. The parents want to go back now to have a turn.
