Paint your own pottery pieces in a guided 2-hour creative session with no experience necessary, then collect your glazed and fired masterpiece weeks later.

Belfast Pottery Painting Studio offers a unique hands-on creative experience where families and individuals can design and paint their own ceramic pieces. Located on Victoria Street in Belfast city center, the studio provides a welcoming environment for visitors of all skill levels, with no prior pottery experience required. The process is straightforward and engaging: guests select from a range of bisque pottery items including mugs, vases, jugs, and teapots, then spend 2 hours painting their chosen piece using provided materials. After completion, visitors scan a QR code to register their work, which is then glazed and fired in the studio's kiln. Finished pieces are ready for collection after 6 weeks minimum, with email notification provided when pieces are complete. The venue caters to families, groups, and individuals, offering regular open sessions as well as themed events, workshops, and private bookings available 7 days a week. This makes it ideal for birthday parties, team building activities, or simply a creative afternoon out. The studio's central location near Layton Place train station and 10 minutes from City Hall makes it easily accessible for visitors throughout Belfast.

Highly recommend!! Recently organised a hen do here and the entire process was super easy, staff were great at getting back to emails quickly and helping to answer any questions. On the day all the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and everything pottery related was explained so well and everyone’s pieces turned out great! Highly recommend and cannot wait to visit again!

I had the most amazing birthday party experience here for my 21st! Booking was extremely easy and we had the perfect set up upstairs which allowed us all to sit together as a big party! I would absolutely do this again, especially with a big group. Everybody got to paint their own thing while we listened to music! We were able to bring our own snacks, cake and drinks etc, they even provided me with a birthday cupcake. It was super wholesome and would absolutely recommend! :)

Booked this for my sister's hen do on Saturday. The staff were really helpful and accommodating to us, we arranged with them in advance and they provide different options for a larger booking. They are happy to give advice on your creation as well which we used. We could decorate the space as well and BYOB which was great. They didn't make it clear by email, but when you pay a deposit, the money comes off your booking so that was a nice surprise! I would recommend, and I'll be back definitely.

I booked an evening session with Belfast Pottery Painting for a work social and I couldn't recommend them more! The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodated our group of 13. We were able to bring our own drinks after 5pm which made the whole experience even more relaxed and enjoyable. Everyone had a brilliant time and the atmosphere was so fun and laid back. I'd definitely book again!
