I booked a lesson for my son and husband. The process was very easy with good communication. Although the weather was a bit rainy they had a great time. My husband says the instructors were really clear with directions, patient and good with the kids. “Couldn’t ask for more”. My son is in love with surfing now and I have no doubt he’ll surf again. Brilliant experience. My 8yo daughter and I did a lesson one morning of our long weekend and it was so much fun. Teddy was brilliant and especially with my daughter. Helping her to catch waves, and really encouraging her meaning she came away absolutely buzzing and has talked about surfing the whole rest of the weekend.We would definitely do another lesson next time we are down here and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a new way to enjoy the coast.

We had two brilliant surf lesson with Jo — the highlight of our trip. He was friendly, patient, and made everything feel simple and fun from the start. We were amazed at how quickly Jo got us up and riding waves. His encouragement and calm approach made a huge difference and gave us real confidence in the water. I enrolled my son in several lessons at Big Surf. During his very first class, even though it was a group session, the coaches taught him with great care and attention. For the second, third and fourth lessons, the coaches changed, yet every single one of them was so dedicated and supportive that I felt truly grateful. We believed they would continue to grow in success, and when we saw that they had even opened a small “Big Wave Surf School” shop in the village up by the sea, it made me feel happy too. We plan to return next summer for my son’s surfing lessons. As it is very popular, be sure to book in advance.
