Really lovely experience, we all had a wonderful time seeing the animals and the lady who owns it was really informative telling us about hatching ducks and turkeys. The ice cream was delicious, but the highlight for us was definitely the goats, highly amusing and very friendly 🥰
I took my daughter and my 2 granddaughters, 11 and 5 on Saturday. We all loved it. The location is amazing. Went on the long nature trail which takes about 30 minutes but well worth it. Had a drink in the spacious family tea room that has a picture window with amazing views. Fed the naughty goats ha ha. Saw the chicks. To round the day off we each had one of the amazing 'Hill Billy' ice creams. Thank you to Katy (the owners daughter) who was so pleasant.
Between Congleton and Buxton is the working Blaze Farm, family run serving fabulous Farm made ice cream which is all sourced locally and the Farmers daughter Katy uses her expertise to produce the best tasting ice cream for miles around. So we'll done Katy the ice cream was amazing. Coffee and Teas are realistically priced £2.25 a cup which is far less than the likes of Costa or Starbucks, the quality is excellent. Menu pictures can be found down below, your guaranteed to get value for money and that includes the Icecream. Blaze farm is ideal for children as you can purchase small bags of feed so a great bonus to keep them occupied with the Chickens, goats Turkey and sheep. Location is really pretty especially from the back tea room and on to the veranda where there's stunning views of the Peak District. Ample parking can be found even can cater for buses, there is toilets here aswell. Also check out the potter shed for locally made gifts. Blaze Farm is definitely worth a visit with its excellent tea rooms and quality ice cream. we will definitely be returning and wouldnt hesitate to recommend. Big thankyou to all the wonderful staff who looked after us and made our stay so memorable.
I am beyond frustrated with our experience here today. If you are looking for a farm experience, keep driving because this isnt it. The absolute kicker was the WiFi. Despite being paying customers in the cafe, the staff refused to give us the WiFi password, claiming it is only for overnight guests. Normally, I would not care, but there is zero phone signal at this farm. We were effectively cut off from the world, unable to even look up directions or check a quick message, all while sitting right there spending money. It is a level of pettiness I have rarely encountered in hospitality. Calling this a farm is a massive stretch. Most of the pens and fields were completely empty. We walked around expecting to see livestock, but instead, we just saw a lot of vacant fences and dirt. It felt like a ghost town with a gift shop attached. Do not get your hopes up for the food, either. It was okay at absolute best, but the prices they are charging are a joke. You are paying premium prices for very average, basic cafe grub. Save your money and your sanity. Between the lack of animals and the ridiculous accommodation-only WiFi policy in a dead zone, this place is a total rip-off. Never again.
Wonderful cosy place for a nice walk around and some ice cream. Amazing and huge range of flavoured ice creams. Staff were friendly and it was just such a great find. Animals everywhere for kids to have a great time!
