Visited with our Daughter and 5yr old Grandson on one of their few open days, it was great, the donkeys were mostly in grassed paddocks, large enough for them to roam freely but small enough to see all of them, stroke and pat them, lots of photo opportunities, we had a great time

I love this place. We visit every year since the Manchester location closed a few years or so ago. You can get up close to the donkeys when they come over to the fence, which they often do for a back scratch. The volunteers are knowledgable and experienced and you can tell the animals are happy and well cared for. There’s usually a local homemade ice cream stall from nearby Pomeroy farm, 5 or 6 gift stalls selling a mixture of handmade and branded goods and a stall selling cake and refreshments. You need to book online and can choose morning or afternoon, places are limited and tend to fill up in advance of school holiday periods. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. The donkeys often get curious and will sometimes come over to say hi to your dog.

A fantastic place to visit when they open to the public which is between May and September. The staff are really knowledgeable and passionate about the donkeya they look after.

Wonderful open day on June 1st. All of the volunteers were brilliant and Trish made our day extra special with some great conversations about the lovely donkeys. Great cafe with real quality produce (wow, the cakes!) and some excellent stalls selling some fantastic handmade items. Thanks for having us, and for giving so many donkeys a wonderful safe home. Hope to return in the future and will continue to support this fantastic place.
