Brilliant, had the best time. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the museum at Sheffield Park is very interesting and the shed with various engines was also cool. We went as adults but the kids around were having a great time and plenty of stuff to do. The trains are in great condition and the whole trip was really exciting, and it’s great to be able to get off at the different stations. This was our first time on a steam train and we will definitely be going to more

Went on a fish and chips supper trip recently. It was really lovely, the seats were really comfy, the staff were very friendly ,the scenery was stunning and of course the transport was perfect. If I had only one dissapotiment it was that the fish was of the "heated up in the oven" variety rather than fried, but this didn't diminish a really lovely evening. Recommended.

Lovely day had here. Great atmosphere. Staff all dressed in 1920's clothing. Very informative museum. Will be having a Train ride next time with 1st class lunch. Well worth a visit even if you don't ride the Choo Choo trains 🚂

I was lucky enough to take part in a Footplate Taster Experience on 27th March, which was utterly incredible. After a tour of the signal box I was introduced to the locomotive crew for the day and we got straight to it, initially learning and practicing around the station before heading out onto the main line. The whole experience was amazing and completely surpassed all expectations. After a tasty lunch in the station, we then had a private tour of the engineering shed and locomotive shed, getting up close to the various locomotives in the Bluebell's impressive collection (including Beachy Head and Fenchurch). All the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming but a huge shout out to the locomotive crew (Dave and Harry) as well as Chris who were all amazing and really made the day. I would highly recommend to anyone!!

Sheffield Park railway station was thriving the day my parents and I went on the Bluebell Railway. It felt like paradise with clear skies and stylish architecture that stood the test of time. Even the volunteers are quite friendly here. They have the Bessemer Arms, a buffet restaurant where my dad and I shared a jacket potato topped with shredded cheese and British-style baked beans (like Heinz). In addition to its impressive steam locomotive roster, this railway station has not just one but two railway museums. SteamWorks!, which was built inside a former train shed, is an interactive railway exhibition that explores history and science through the marvels of steam power. As we entered the shed, we were greeted by the Bluebell Railway's own star attraction amongst its steam cavalcade. The star attraction is LB&SCR A1X Class No. 55 Stepney, a 150-year old tank locomotive that became the first standard-gauge engine to be permanently based on the line in 1960. In addition to its profound legacy, Stepney was featured in one of Reverend Wilbert Awdry's "Railway Series" books and its televised adaptation, "Thomas & Friends". The Bluebell Railway Museum has a massive collection of historical artifacts dedicated to railway services and is attached to the signal box. Before we returned to East Grinstead, my dad and I went inside the cab of the BR Standard Class 5MT No. 73082 Camelot tender locomotive and the driver shared his information on the engine's control system. The firebox felt so warm like a campfire.
