Absolutely wonderful!!! Today I attended their group bouldering club for the first time in my life. The staff were very kind and pleasant - whenever I did something wrong, they helped me, showed me what to do, and taught me the basics. A wonderful place, highly recommended!

Had a stag do with the whole set of cousins. Ollie, the boss man, absolutely worked wonders. Gave us all the safety info and made us feel safe and at home. This is a wonderful community. They make you feel welcome and dispel any issues you may have with regards to safety. Absolutely chuffed to be a part of it. Excellent day out for family and friends. Xx 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

First up, if you're new to climbing then all the high reviews are probably warranted. The staff put a lot of effort into newcomers and the classes are great. I've learnt to tope rope and lead climb here and my instructors were so kind, patient and attentive. The range of bouldering and rope climbing is also good and the facilities in the training room, especially the woodie boards are really useful. The general community of all the regulars is so welcoming and fun and everybody who climbs is always friendly, helpful and creates a great vibe. However as a long time member I feel like boulders is not as good as it used to be. The cleanlinessof all areas of the gym is really not great at the moment. The layers of dust on top of the heating in the cafe area is disgusting, there's a layer of chalk on everything in the shop, every flat surface of the stairs to the training room is coated etc etc.... I understand it's hard to keep on top of because of the lack of air extraction machines and the amount of chalk in the air but some areas look like they've never been wiped down. It's rare to get a hello at the counter anymore and half of the time I could honestly just walk in without paying because nobody is there or paying attention. I personally feel like their whole business model is concentrated on the money from new climbers or one off day passes rather than a balance between newcomers and regulars. My final gripe is the 'tests' to be able to rope climb. If you come and want to be certified all you have to do is look at some photos and answer some questions. Nobody asks you to demonstrate your belay technique or how to tie your knot which I feel is absolutely wild! There's a lot to love about boulders but at the moment there's a hell of a lot of basics that need improving, often things that don't actually cost any money to fix......

First time visiting but a great experience. A nice wall and bouldering gym with some interesting problems and good route setting. Lots to go at for all abilities and a very nice looking café too (sadly we didn't get to try that this time). Staff were all super friendly but reassuringly safety focussed as well.

My daughter attended a Wild Climbers session at Boulders Cardiff last Sunday and it was outstanding. The instructor leading the group was absolutely brilliant. They managed five young children with such ease—keeping them engaged, focused and well behaved the whole time. It was genuinely impressive to watch. As a parent of an AuDHD child, I’m always a bit cautious in group settings, but the instructor handled everything with such calmness, energy and understanding. You can tell they really knows how to work with children and create a fun, structured environment. Massive credit to them and the team—highly recommend.
