Cancelled new DNA membership after 3 days as the swimming is so poorly set up. The pool offers a very restrictive timetable that pushes all users in to narrow windows that make the pool over full. Only ever 1 lane set up which forces swimmers of different ability to mix which results in people swimming up the middle of the lane. Rest of the pool has no lanes and 30+ people having to swim 40m in a 25m pool as you will be constantly swimming around people. As the sessions are 'swim for all' parents also turn up with children and faced with the same disappointment while the childrens pool sits empty. The timetable needs opening up and the lanes need setting up properly. If you are a non club swimmer - Avoid.

Today I took my 4 year old for a Swimming lesson. Emma took the class and she was wonderful. My daughter is very nervous around anyone new but Emma was fantastic with her. Jess even put her had up to go first. Thank you so much.

Had a lovely time swimming here over the weekend with my 2 children. Lovely warm pool too which makes a change to some others we've been to! 😍 However, when we arrived for a swim session a lady on reception told us we could not enter the changing rooms until 5 minutes before the session began. Reasons were given as to why, which I understand. However, I feel that staff should be more understanding to people's circumstances around this rule. For example, my Son is Autistic and likes routine, so when told we could not go through yet (we arrived 10 mins before), this caused him to act up. Additionally, my husband is registered fully blind and I myself have severe Arthritis so do not feel this rule should be applicable to everyone. Getting the family ready (in our circumstances), easily takes longer than 5 minutes!

I’ve been coming back here now for a few weeks to lose some weight and start swimming again , I go in the early mornings which sometimes is quite busy but it’s fine I just swim in and out of people , the morning team at reception are very friendly and welcoming and so are the early morning swimmers everyone says good morning and it’s a good vibe , the lockers are a problem because loads are broken with tape on them and a lot of the key wristbands are snapped and could do with changing , I go to the gym after which is always being used but not too busy the staff are constantly mopping the floors around the building and the gym seems pretty clean . A couple of negatives there could be another machine that drys your swimwear in the other changing rooms where you get entry to the sauna and steam room as there’s only one in the swimming area that is also having issues with no water pip attached the water splashes out from it . There is no entry into the sauna area from the pool so if you want to use after a swim you either have to dry off put a towel round you and walk round or get changed and changed again but for me that’s not a problem as I use these facilities after the gym . All in all I would recommend this place as a good gym but could do with a few improvements and fix the lockers and key watches

I visited here yesterday with a 3 day pass as I was in the immediate area. I only used the gym area so my review only covers this space. I only did one exercise, I couldn't continue because I felt gross: - Equipment was filthy, people do not wipe them down after use. - Rubbish on the gym floor. Empty water bottles. - Boditrax not being wiped before/after use. Do people not care about hygiene here!? - Not a lot of choice, though it's a small space. - Equipment looked way past it's best. Stains, rust, wear and tear. - Most of the gym goers were teenage boys, so expect youth club vibes. Pros: - Receptionist was really nice and friendly. - Another positive is that I feel very spoiled at my normal gym now. - It's probably cheap as it's a council leisure centre. I would very much recommend paying more to have a much better experience elsewhere. I hope the council invests cash into this place because it desperately needs it.
