We had a wonderful experience at Chiddingstone Castle. The venue is absolutely stunning, with beautiful historic architecture, well-maintained grounds, and breathtaking views. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. The atmosphere is unique and full of character, making it a perfect location for events, weddings, family visits, or simply exploring the history of the castle. The gardens and surrounding countryside add to the charm and create a peaceful and memorable setting. Everything was organised to a very high standard, and it is clear that a great deal of care goes into maintaining both the castle and the visitor experience. The exhibits are interesting, the facilities are excellent, and there is something for visitors of all ages to enjoy. Chiddingstone Castle is truly one of Kent’s hidden gems. We would highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for history, beauty, and outstanding hospitality. We look forward to returning in the future. We have visited several times. The effort to create a fascinating exhibition is outstanding. From a chaotic collector's collection a number of very rare items have been found. The story behind Chiddingstone Castle is extraordinary. Don't miss the delightful tea room for tea, cake, sandwiches, platters or afternoon tea. Plenty if outside space for a picnic or a kick around. There is plenty of parking but it's bit of a walk for anyone with mobility issues.

Quirky country house with some interesting historic collections as varied as Egyptian and Japanese history. Nice open views and countryside walks also, plus a fishing lake. On site cafe for a nice cup of tea and snack.

A fantastic hidden gem in Kent - this historic country house has a splendid collection of Japanese art, Ancient Egyptian artefacts and Tibetan Buddhist art etc; and it was interesting to learn about the life of the eccentric collector, Denys Eyre Bower. Also enjoyed the pleasant walk around the Egyptian grass maze, lake and woodlands after visiting the castle.

Gorgeous walk around the castle today with our puppy. Stunning, peaceful surroundings with lots to explore. Pretty views in the sunshine. Car parking was easy and they give you 45 mins for free which was enough time to walk around the grounds. The Egyptian themed fields were a interesting addition to a classic dog walk - he enjoyed reading us the information as you can see in the photo 🐶🤓
