Visit websiteHonestly DONT MISS THE GEM ! Lots to see and do , family orientated with plenty of childtens activities. Cafe and brilliant museum. It's free to enter but please donate , these treasures in the community are worth keeping
Fantastic place! We did a day out from Manchester up to Cliffe Castle in the May school holidays and it was a great day out. The grounds are very large and it was much less busy than we expected for such a sunny day. There's quite a variety of things to do for a free entry attraction too. There's a small aviary with a selection of bright birds to view, as well as some busy guinea pigs. The grounds are large, green and we'll kept. There's a decent sized kids playground with a good selection of equipment. The castle building itself is an impressive sight, but I was very surprised by the quality of the museum inside! It was much larger than I expected, and covers quite a variety of things. I think you'd be hard pressed to not find something that interests you in here, and you could easily spend a couple of hours browsing it.
If you’re looking for a great local day out, Cliffe Castle in Keighley is a must-visit. It’s a total hidden gem! The museum is stunning, and the kids were obsessed with the taxidermy animals—so many different types of birds and wildlife to see. We also love the little tropical garden and the cafe is lovely. It’s our go-to spot to get the kids out of the house (and save my living room from being destroyed!). We always have a great time learning about the history of the estate and the different flowers in the gardens. Plus, their Easter and Christmas events are always a hit with the little ones! One thing I forgot to mention—you can even dress up there! It’s my daughter’s absolute favourite part of the visit. They have a brilliant selection of Victorian outfits, so the kids can dress up as little maids and characters from the past. It’s such a lovely touch and really makes the history of the estate come alive for them. Oh yeah and I love to dress up too. I’m just a big kid yeahhhh
Really good free place to visit! Free parking also. Museum has a good collection of different history. They have a small gift shop with some cool stones of which my son happily bought one. Cafe was good also.
While holidaying in the area (Tosside) decided to visit here after Skipton Castle …..SO SO glad we did, it’s beautiful, great clean cafe (closes 4pm). Free parking (quite small) and free entry. Choose a fine day and you will not be disappointed. A GEM. Ran out of time to visit the museum so will DEFINITELY BE BACK next time in the area.
