Our last day in Torbay, visiting Cockington Village and Cockington Court. I recall riding from the seafront to the village on a horse and cart when I was a young boy and remember having my photo in the stocks. I managed to find one of the stocks in the yard outside the craft barn. The walled rose garden was in full bloom. The Registry Office is in the Cockington Court building. What a great place for photos.

Great open space with walks along woodland, lakes and open parkland. Best of all was the Rose Garden in full fragrant blossom when we visited. Well worth a visit if you're in the Torbay area

It’s a really beautiful place to visit. The rose garden was a little smaller than we expected, but it was still lovely and full of fragrant flowers. The playground was also smaller than we thought, so it may not keep children busy for very long. The only real disappointment was the craft section, as most of it seemed to be closed and empty when we visited. Parking was very good though, and overall it was still a nice place to spend some time.

Great venue and parkland for a family day out. Enjoyed the wildlife and walks, beautiful rose gardens. Very interesting craft workshops, some open and craftspeople at work . The coffee shop here serves lovely food and drink. Our dog loved it too.

We visit this lovely area caught in time with it's thatched cottages often, and I would recommend you take a look. It has chocolate box charm. Interesting walks where we spotted a kingfisher bird. Places to eat, and craft shops with people working in them, so it makes it interesting.A beautiful rose garden to sit and relax inside, as it has a walled garden.
