Great experience with the grandchildren. Walked along the walls taking in the views of the town and surrounding coast line. Great fun and would recommend. Some steps and tight pass ways that are a challenge in places. Well worth the money at just over £12. Kids were cheaper.

This was an amazing experience. It's the most intact castle I have visited. One could truly get the reality of this past life. The stone spiral staircases could be slightly daunting. This site would be challenging for those with mobility issues. I believe it said on the website that those on UC could enter for £1. But one needs a letter to prove your eligibility. And you can only book a discounted ticket online. Perfect place to visit with kids into castles.

Well-preserved castle dating back to 1283 AD. You can walk the battlements and climb most of the towers. A must visit for enthusiasts of Welsh and English history as Conwy was an important strategic location in the English conquest of Wales. Tickets are cheap, and I would highly recommend buying the guidebook for only £4.95 which offers a wealth of information on the castle and the town in general. After exploring the castle, you can walk the town walls for some excellent views.
