Meet rescued birds of prey and other animals at this nonprofit sanctuary, with an outdoor play area included in admission.

Cornish Birds of Prey is a nonprofit rescue centre dedicated to providing a caring home for mistreated, injured, and neglected birds of prey and other animals. The centre operates as an educational facility where visitors can learn about these magnificent creatures in a relaxed and informative environment. Rather than breeding birds for profit, the centre relies entirely on visitor donations and contributions to fund its mission of animal care and rehabilitation. Visitors can explore the centre during the 2026 season, which runs from March through the end of October, with extended weekend hours. A new outdoor play area has been added and is included in the admission price, making it an excellent destination for families with young children. The centre welcomes visitors aged 5 years and over for just £5 per person, with free admission for children under 5. Additionally, the adjacent Atlantic Play Barn offers separate indoor play facilities for an extra £5 per child (adults free). The venue is suitable for families of all ages and provides an engaging way to learn about wildlife conservation and animal welfare. The centre's mission extends beyond entertainment—it aims to educate visitors about the commitment required to care for birds of prey and discourage impulse purchases of these animals as pets.

Went on a Sunday and there were no flying displays, which was disappointing. The birds were nice though, but the bars on the front of some of the cages were quite fat tubes that obscured the birds. There are a few fields with alpacas, emus, ponies, horses and goats, and there is also an artificial lake, but the water was murky and the range of birds in it minimal On the plus side, the entry was cheap at £5 per person, there are benches around the site and a picnic area near the entrance, and the shop sells food and drink.

Here’s a balanced, concise review: We had a lovely visit and enjoyed seeing the wide variety of birds of prey, along with other animals including an emu, ponies, goats and horses. It was great to be able to get close to so many different animals. The website mentioned sheep, but we didn’t see any during our visit. It would also have been nice to watch a bird of prey flying display, although I can appreciate that with the site being very quiet on the day, this may not have been practical. The staff were polite and welcoming, although quite reserved. Overall, a pleasant visit and a good place for animal lovers, especially those interested in birds of prey.

Fantastic day out, at incredible value. Large variety of birds that you can get a really good look at. Feeding the farm animals is a lovely touch too, especially the Emu! Will definitely be returning to catch a flying display.

The birds and animals seemed really well cared for and loved We Spent a really nice couple of hours here before going into the playbarn I would recommend doing it the other way around though. There were no flight displays either and I think it could be better advertised when this is the case.

Lovely sanctuary to visit. You can tell how well cared for all the birds are other animals are. It was very moving to hear and read where some of them have come from and too then see them so clearly happy and healthy now. The displays were very well done and incredible interesting and informative. Well worth and visit.
